Rustic Solid Deodorant product reviews

Proud to promote NZ productsStay fresh and confident all day long, without baking soda or aluminium. Instead, our wonder ingredients keep sweat and smell away: magnesium hydroxide, zinc oxide and bamboo(which absorbs 200% its own weight in sweat and oil). Scented with lime, cedarwood & eucalyptus, with jojoba and sweet almond oil for silky smooth underarms.

Please note that this is a solid deodorant, which helps keep your underarms smelling fresh rather than stop sweat, it is not an antiperspirant, this bar will not block your sweat glands.

Key ingredients:
    •  Bamboo for the absorption of sweat and sebum - absorbs 200% it's own weight in sweat and oil.
    •  Magnesium hydroxide is the wonder ingredient for keeping the stench away. It prevents the growth and proliferation of bacteria (whose excretions cause the BO smell) by altering the pH of your skin (not enough to cause irritation though).
    •  Zinc Oxide is anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory.
    •  Jojoba & sweet almond both aid in the lovely soft application, as well as soft underarms.

I wasn't too sure about using this deodorant as I have always used a bottle and had liquid deodorant but I'm happy to say this has proved to be a great deodorant. I don't really like botanical deodorants as I find that the smell wears off and I don't smell so good after a while but this is a natural smell that makes me think about being in a wood after it has been raining, real earthy.

The bar is a good size, not sure about how long it will last but I know I'm going to be buying more. It is so easy to use, just hold onto the bar (feels a bit strange at first) and rub under your arms then store in the box or if preferred an airtight container. The packaging gives great information, it lists the ingredients and has advice not to use if you have an allergy to any of the ingredients. I asked my daughter if she wanted me to buy some for her to try and she said no as it reminds her of a bar of soap and that she prefers "normal" deodorant.

I have a really active job so the real test will be how much do I smell at the end of the day in summer?
