My two year old is a huge peppa pig fan, but not yet at the age I have braved taking her to the cinema, this Peppa installment was made for the big screen experience so a slightly different format to the Peppa Pig she is used to and while I wouldn't of taken her to the cinema to see it it was great to be able to watch at home. This Dvd offers ten all new episodes we haven't seen before while weaving in interactive live action scenes featuring children singing, dancing and interacting with cinema watchers which was a different take on the much loved series.
My miss two loved seeing the children between episodes, joining in with their dances and listening attentively to them talk. I think this was a nice new touch to the series we haven't seen before and kept the interest between episodes. As with other Peppa Pig episodes they nicely join in some jokes aimed at the adults, completely go over the childrens heads but certainly keep the adults entertained even with the subtle joking about how repititive childrens shows can be! My 7 year old can appreciate the jokes a bit more having a giggle with us adults and while obviously the show is aimed at the pre school audience it did hold some appeal for him too.
In these new episodes we see Peppa, george, and family take off on some all new adventures, having fun at festivals, Grandma's birthday party, and even at the cinema themselves. All themes that appeal to young children like my daughter, she loves seeing Peppa and George splashing in the muddy puddles and going to fun new places. This is a great rainy day movie when you have toddlers at home and has certainly kept my little lady entertained again and again and dare I say it again!
