In the week I have had this CD there has yet to pass a day when I haven't played it, and every time I listen the experience becomes more rewarding. Apple has crafted a superb product, and the use of acoustic instruments and orchestral backing suit the depth and timbre of her voice spectacularly well.
Apple has been recording and performing since 1996, and has had a limited although devoted following. With this album she has added depth and maturity that has resulted in her finest offering to date. I enjoyed her previous work, but this album is a standout.
If you enjoy Alanis Morisette, Tori Amos, Natalie Merchant and even Patti Smith you will find much to enjoy in this highly recommended album.
