It is Spring Break time for a group of college friends who are in their last year of study before graduation. The story starts with Olivia changing her plans and being bribed to go on one last trip with her best friend and others to Mexico, in exchange for them helping with her passion - helping others.

They head off to Mexico with drinking, dancing, beaches and all night parties on their mind, but what they find is much much more. Olivia is hit on by a fellow class mate and a cheeky stranger comes to her rescue. They hit it off and he suggests, as the party winds down, that they carry on the party in a secluded venue. Being full of alcohol, and it being their last night there, the group agrees, following him to a creepy looking abandoned chapel where it all begins.

They start the game of truth or dare quite innocently with the usual "dare you two to kiss" and "give him a lap dance" type of dares, combined with some negligible truths. It is then that "Carter" - the cheeky stranger announces to Olivia that the game is real and they have to follow the rules or they will face the consequences, for not following through. Carter then disappears, leaving the group to pack up and return to college, where they find that the game and its consequences have followed them back.

Without ruining the movie completely, and telling you the complete plot, I do encourage you to watch it. I enjoyed it for what it was - a teen horror/thriller that reminded me of "Final Destination" - where teenagers are challenged unless they stick to the rules - tell the truth, or die. Do the dare, or die. Once you are in the game - you cannot stop. The game seems to want them to confess and come clean, and starts to give them only one choice - tell the truth and come clean. It is then that Olivia and Lucas (her best friends boyfriend) start to figure out more about the game and try to unravel a way out of it.

There are a few twists and turns in the movie - even some unexpected things I did not anticipate. The leering maniacal face of the "Game" is a little disturbing - reminding me of "IT" crossed with photo editing - and not in a funny clown way! At about 100 minutes long it is enough to capture and keep your attention, but does not drag.

All in all a good "entertaining" thriller that I would see again.

Now it's YOUR turn - Truth, or DARE!
