OK... this is not one of the Trivial Pursuit varieties, but it's kinda close... but then, it's also close to Cranium in the same way, but in a different direction. You could say it is a different branch of the same family.

With many of the attributes used in the many related products evident in the game, it's a real brain-twister for even the most cognoscenti gamer. There are anagrams to decrypt, riddles to nut out and numerical cyphers... and with some strangely twisted rules... it really does give the brain a real workout.

I found the cryptic rhyming couplets to be the most challenging for me, and as usual, I drew them far more often than any other type of clue... so the game held a real challenge, and thus was quite a pleasant game to play... easy games are so passe.

Overall, though it was a bit of a struggle at the start until we got used to the rules and modes of play, the game provided a good hour of fun and brain-gymnastics, and proved a popular choice. It's not as pricey as many other boardgames on the market, so that helps make it a very realistic purchase option, and if you enjoy something a little more challenging in your boardgames, then this is an excellent candidate well worth giving a try.
