Come and Find Me product reviews

David, a graphic designer, lives in a hipster neighbourhood of Los Angeles with his photographer girlfriend Claire. That is, until he wakes up one morning to find her mysteriously gone, leaving no note or clues about her sudden disappearance. When police attempts to find her prove fruitless over the course of a year, David takes matters into his own hands. He begins his investigation with a visit to an automotive repair shop that he's seen in Claire's previously undeveloped photos, only to find it swarming with Russian mobsters who are clearly unhappy at the intrusion. And that's just the beginning, with David soon running afoul of government forces led by a shadowy agent.

I was interested in this movie by the fact that Aaron Paul was such a great actor in Breaking Bad which I really love so seeing him in a movie that appeared somewhat thrilling was quite exciting. Aaron Paul as David didn't disappoint as an actor at all his acting throughout the movie was impeccable couldn't be faulted and I think this is what made the movie for me as at times I did lose a bit of interest but couldn't help but see the movie through.

The plotline while being a good theory just didn't seem to make a lot of sense at times and seemed quite drawn out. When Claire goes missing and David starts looking into her disappearance you know nothing is quite what it seems and something is amiss but I did expect a lot more action and suspense in the plot unfolding and it was quite mild until perhaps the last half hour. The mobster and goverment involvement was pretty intense but even after watching the movie through twice I still can't figure out what exactly got Claire so deeply entwined in the underworld.

I did enjoy the movie but I think it just didn't sit quite right with me the way it ended especially. If you are a romantic you might try and imagine that they walk away into the sunset together as a couple again as the ending does keep you hanging but from a realist perspective you know they are both dead and gone. It seemed like a whole lot of plot building to be brought down in a few short seconds and I was quite surprised that, that was how it ended. So while not a complete success as a movie for me it did have it's good points and like I said earlier Aaron Pauls acting made the movie!
