My kids and I were super excited to receive this book to review, we love the Marmaduke Duck books they are always really enjoyable to read and listen too. We were especially excited that it was a Xmas themed book to get into the festive mood. I love that these books always rhyme they make them super fun to read and keeps the kids attentions during the entire book.

This new adventure from Marmaduke duck is about him and his friends from the 3x previous books saving Christmas as Santa and his elves get into a bit of trouble. The book is 38 pages long with bright, colourful illustrations that really enhance the story line.

My 7yr old son is just not quite up to reading this on his own yet but him and his 5yr old sister loved having it read it them. I would recommend this book and the other Marmaduke Duck books to everyone, they are so good and one of my personal favourites to read to the kids. As a Scholastic book you know you are getting a quality book at a really good price. I personally don't think I would pay full retail price but they are often on special in the Lucky Book clubs the kids bring home from school. A must read for all.

The Marmaduke ducks are an absolute favourite of mine, but also of the children and staff at work. Everybody was super excited to see that I had a new book to share about one of our favourite book characters Marmaduke, the children especially as it was about Christmas which is always such a special and magical time of year for children.

Like the rest of the books that follow the adventures of Marmaduke this one is action packed! This particular story is one where Marmaduke must try and save Christmas day after Santa, his reindeer and the elves all become stuck in the snow. Marmaduke duck, Bernadette bear and all of their animal friends work together with instructions from Santa who is buried down deep on how to save Christmas Day ... but can they do it? The story itself is whimsical and rhythmical and such fun to read with several tongue twisters throughout, it is full of humour and always provided plenty of laughs when I have read it to Miss 3 who has labelled this as her favourite new book! The illustrations are gorgeous and just beautifully done lovely and bright colours are used and all of the characters look so happy and full of Christmas spirit, and they really look like they are on a mission. Miss 3's favourite part of the book was when all of the animals came to help out as she is animal crazy and loves it when she can name all the different animals in a book, a true favourite that she is always carrying around the house and 'reading'.

Taking this book to daycare I don't know who was more excited about a new Marmaduke book, the children or one of the staff members who just LOVES Marmaduke. Without any surprise the Marmaduke loving teacher choose to read this book to the children at mat time first, and she loved it as did the children. The children were full of smiles as they listened to the story and were so pleased that there was a happy ending to this book, though they are wondering who is going to be delivering there presents this year, will it be Santa or Marmaduke? They loved the fun illustrations and thought some of these were pretty funny. I am not surprised that the pirate ship out in our playground has gone from pirate play to Christmas play as the children using the boat in order to save Christmas as the animals did in the book!

This is a great book worth buying your children for Christmas, especially if you have the rest of the Marmaduke series. A book full of fun and laughter which I can't wait to see if my boss has purchased as part of the centre's Christmas books this year, which I'm sure she has knowing all the Marmaduke fans we teach! I can't wait to see if there's a new book released about the adventures of Marmaduke soon! Definitely a great book which is real value for money.
