I love Marvel stories and after seeing Ant-man at the movies I was really keen to share the movie tie in novel with my 12 year old niece, she tends to enjoy the Marvel stories as much as I do.

I must say that while I really enjoyed the book I was also a little disappointed. The story while inline with the start of the movie wasn't true to it, there were added bits and other bits left out completely. The novel also only covered the first half an hour or so of the movie so leaves you with lots of questions. I went looking to see if there was a second novel and was disappointed to find there wasn't a second one.

What I did really enjoy about the novel is how well the characters are built up, you quickly get to know the main character Scott and his background. You find yourself drawn to him and wanting life to change for him. You also get to a good outline of the other characters as well, they are well set up to play a bigger role in a second book.

My niece hasn't seen the movie but she really enjoyed the novel, like me though she felt it ended far too quickly and would of loved for it to be longer or for there to be a second novel. She really enjoyed the photos from the movie as well and is now waiting for it to come out on dvd so she can see the movie.

Product image for Star Wars Jedi Academy #4: A New ClassMy name is Victor Starspeeder, and I was so psyched that I had transferred to THE Jedi Academy! I didn't care that my big sister, Christina, was already here, and she said I would cramp her style. My last school sent me here because they said I needed "boundaries and structure." I thought that structure meant I'd get to do crazy Jedi stuff, but Master Yoda told me, "to the theater, we go. Drama Club, you will join!" Now I've ... more...
