Me and my two boys were very excited to be picked to review the "Earth Saving Activites" book! They are both huge fans of The Avengers and I may have even learnt a whole heap about Super Heros since being a Mum to two boisterous boys!

We decided Mr 7 could do the activities while Mr 3 could complete the colouring in pages, which mostly worked well. The book is packed full of activities, we did some together including the "Whose Name?" game which involved unscrambling anagrams to reveal an Avengers name,. The "Be Your Own Super Hero" was a favourite, ecspecially picking what super power they each would have!

Mr 7 really enjoyed the mazes and the Quiz's because he learnt new things about the Super Hero's that he loves! I really enjoyed the code cracker and can not resist a good colouring in picture either! I would reccommend the activity book to ages 8 and up just because of the difficulty of some of the activities but and Avenger lover would love this book anyway! The stickers are an added bonus! The book is well set out and the instructions are easy to follow!

Five Stars from my little super heroes!

When we received this activity book the girls and I sat on the couch and looked through together. I told them what each activity involved and on more than one occasion we did the puzzle then and there. There are quizes - true/false questions throughout the book and it blows my mind that both my three year old and six year old knew the answers. My three year old was so good she even done the Super Memory Power test and pretty much got them all right. That is so scary that my children know more about superheros than me.

My husband is a huge nerd. He loves his comic books, super heros, characters and as he has a figurine collection has taught my girls a lot about the DC and Marvel world. They in turn are fascinated by it. I was happy because it has various activities where as I think the girls where more excited about learning more about Hulk, Captain America, Black Widow, Vision, Hawk Eye, Iron Man and Thor.

The activity book also comes with stickers which they are both deciding what and where they plan on putting them on. I personally like the complexity and wide range of activities. My three year old blew me away with the 'Who Came Next' activity where the superheros are put in a particular sequence and you need to figure out the pattern. My eldest enjoyed cracking the code and the Path of Justice. There really is a range of activities. There is also the fan favourite spot the difference which was definitely a huge hit/competition.

For an activity book this is definitely one of the better ones I have seen and for the price it is fantastic value. If your kids are into superheros would definitely recommend this.

Product image for NetherlandIn early 2006, Chuck Ramkissoon is found dead at the bottom of a New York canal.

In London, a Dutch banker named Hans van den Broek hears the news, and remembers his unlikely friendship with Chuck and the off-kilter New York in which it flourished: the New York of 9/11, the powercut and the Iraq war. Those years were difficult for Hans - his English wife Rachel left with their son after the attack, as if that event ... more...
