I never watched this when it first came out as my mother would never have let me watch it and my father doesn't enjoy this type of TV show, I'd seen bits and pieces over the years and was interested but never got around to it. The Zone, on Sky, started this show from the first season and so I set it up to record and I have been really enjoying it. I like shows/movies that take well known stories and puts a twist on them, such as in this series where those urban legends are actually based upon real, nasty characters ie. Bloody Mary and her being a spirit trapped in a mirror.
This isn't just a full on, lets exorcise those demons, show, there is plenty on investigation going on so that they can do the right things and figure out just what is needed to be done and along the way there is a good deal of humorous moments between Sam and Dean so there is a great variety in this show. The special effects in this show are really well done and it is easy to believe most of it as real. I've just finished watching season one and I can't wait to see what happens in the next season.
