My kids (six and nearly five years old) have always loved The Wiggles, both the original four and the current line-up (plus the Sam era). Miss 6 is now starting to out grow them is that she doesn't want to admit she watches them(and sings along too) while her little sister is still very keen on The Wiggles. I have always found The Wiggles is one of the few children's DVDs I am happy to watch over and over which of course is a major plus.
The Wiggle's latest DVD Emma's Bowtiful Day is twelve Ready, Steady Wiggle! episodes so contained songs that we already knew from previous DVDs from recent years and from years ago. The segues were the only new parts. We all thought Lachy's inventions were really funny when they failed. An advantage of it being lots of short episodes was that we could stop it whenever we wanted.
One of the favourite things for us was spotting the Jeff and Greg making special appearances in some of the songs. One song I replayed so the girls could identify who was playing one of the characters (Greg was very well disguised). I enjoy seeing that they are still have an input into The Wiggles.
As usual many of the songs contained great messages. There was one about checking your seatbelt is buckled up and another about wearing glasses to help you see clearly. Some of the segues were about counting and alphabet sounds. I didn't feel guilty putting this DVD on for us to relax to after a hot day at the zoo. I always know that The Wiggles will be both fun and educational for my children.
It is great to see after over twenty years The Wiggles are still producing DVDs that capture the kids' hearts if anything the younger Wiggles bring more energy to songs. I am sure any Wiggles fans will love this DVD.
