Miss 4.5 really loves the Disney Palace Pets at the moment and when she saw Meet the Pets in a pile of books available for review she begged me to get it for her. We had recently had Palace Pets Storybook Collection to review and found that this was a simplified version of the Storybook Collection.
This book didn't disappoint Miss 4.5. The first time I read it to her she was telling me who they were, who they belonged to what each pet likes to do before I had a chance to read the words. It was probably a good thing she was so familiar with the characters as the book did a page on each pet likes to do, them on a page on how each found their princess and finally what they each like to do with their princess. Since it switched from one pet to another it could be difficult for someone that was unfamiliar with them to follow the story.
The book did not hold Miss 6's attention probably because of her age and that she isn't as keen on the Palace Pets as her little sister. I must admit the Palace Pets are cute with their huge eyes and jewellery. For $10 the book is a great stocking stuffer and perfect for a young Palace Pets fan. There is also Palace Pets Sticker Scene that would go well with it.
