I love puzzles so thought this would be great to review, I really did like the puzzles and thought to do it in pencil so I could do the puzzles over and over again or get the kids interested in doing puzzles as when I told them puzzles they immediately thought jigsaw puzzles.

I found that a basic knowledge of sports would be an advantage but not essential and that the puzzles were varied and the topics although all sports related covered a few different aspects of sports and that paralympic was also covered. A lot of various skills would also be covered from reading and word searches to maths and spelling and unscrambling the letters to form words so I can see hours and hours of fun for the whole family ahead of us.

I did find that a few had unclear instructions (I hate maths so that might explain why I can't follow a instruction that says "Clue 4 (clue) = 2 (answer), jump back two numbers - 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0" with a big long arrow from the number 1 to the number 0 and then a short arrow back to the 9.

And the the numbers 3 1 4 6 as the year as the question was "The winter olympic games were first held in (year) in (city)" and the city was a lot easier to unscramble as it was just the letters and I can do those sort of puzzles easily.

I really enjoyed a lot of the other puzzles and would do them again in the future and help the kids with the puzzles, the advantage of doing the puzzles in pencil.

We received the Sports Puzzle book to review, my 12 year old has ADHD, and learning delays among other things but the day this book arrived he sat for 2 hours working on the puzzles and has sat for at least a further half an hour every day since working on the puzzles. He receives help at school for literacy, numeracy, and reading and getting him to read at home, or do homework is a massive mission.

He is behind in his reading, writing and spelling and as such is not a fan of doing anything that involves doing these things. The fact he is chosing to do this off his own back is a huge achievement. He does love sports though, so I was hoping this would be what would get his attention, and it would seem I was right. So thank you KIWIreviews for selecting us to review this one. Hopefully there will be similar things to review in the future. Feeling quite proud of him at the moment.

This book has a RRP of around $10.00. This is a brilliant price for this book as it is a large sized book with loads of excellent puzzles and activities to do. The puzzles range from easy to hard and there is a huge variety of different types of puzzles. Because of the variety of puzzles you do not get bored quickly because theres loads to do. They are set out in an easy to read and understand manner too which is great for my boy who also struggles with comprehension, he did not struggle to much and only needed help now and again.

I am extremely impressed with this book, as is my son, and we hope to find some of the other ones like it :)
