Forrest Gump product reviews

Forrest Gump is a simple man with a low I.Q. but good intentions. He is running through childhood with his best and only friend Jenny. His 'mama' teaches him the ways of life and leaves him to choose his destiny. Forrest joins the army for service in Vietnam, finding new friends called Dan and Bubba, he wins medals, creates a famous shrimp fishing fleet, inspires people to jog, starts a ping-pong craze, create the smiley, write bumper stickers and songs, donating to people and meeting the president several times. However, this is all irrelevant to Forrest who can only think of his childhood sweetheart Jenny Curran, who has messed up her life. Although in the end all he wants to prove is that anyone can love anyone.

"Hello. My name's Forrest, Forrest Gump"

I have seen this movie, I have no idea how many times, I saw it when it came out, once a year after that (at least), then when I got to high school I studied it two separate years so saw it multiple times, then the year after the second time studying it and decided that we needed a break or I would swear of Forrest forever. I have seen it once in the last 6 years and am happy to say I am ready to watch it again. Tom Hanks is amazing in this role, I don't think I've seen him in a role that I like as much as I do here (other than Cloud Atlas).

I really like how Forrest keeps on ending up in major events in American history, popping him in to real footage was really well thought out and it's a neat little way to give another idea on what was going on at the time (and my favourite was when he was running and steps in poo and his response to that is something that is a well known line in life now). Forrest only ever loves two women, his momma and Jenny, both who he is there for in whatever way he is able to. The acting in this is brilliant and it well deserves all its awards.

I think this is a must see, at least once, for everyone.
