Short and to the point. That's Tyrion. Here are the finest, funniest, rudest and wisest sayings of the miniature Machiavelli; the dwarf with a brain the size of a planet and a heart of (tarnished) gold.

Tyrion has to be my most favourite character of all George RR Martin's Game of Thrones characters. He is the one I care most about surviving. I have read some of the books, and have been watching the TV series as well. Martin is frankly brutal, not just to his characters but to the awaiting audience of viewers and readers. But we keep coming back for more. That tells you a lot about this guy's talent and appeal.
This little book is filled with quotes from Tyrion. Its set out with chapter headers, to try and contain the quotes and make sense of them. I found the chapter headers did help somewhat. The quotes are presented one per page and the illustrations are quite well done. I liked the cheeky little dwarf pictures that appear on most pages. They are quite cartoon in style, but they add a little fun to the book.
This is a super quick read, but one that in company you will delight in reading aloud from. Some of the quotes did seem to lose their shine when placed as a one-liner on the page. You had to imagine what weird and wild situation he had gotten himself in, to be saying something like that. But generally the quotes were fun and funny. They were also quite rude in parts which is part of Tyrion's charm. But this is best not to read aloud with kids about.
Overall a neat little tribute to a neat little character, though the price seems a bit on the high side. Its a pocket sized book, but it is hardcover. This would make a cool stocking stuffer for a Martin fan, and so as a gift book it seems good quality binding and presentation equals a higher spend.

Could there possibly be anything more absolutely, mega embarrassing than being called Parsley? You bet. After a disagreement with the local council, Parsley's dad decides to set up his own principality, making 12-year-old Parsley - Princess Parsley!
How about that for making you popular in your first year of high school? But it's the way Parsley approaches being a princess that really causes a stir, and a lot of laughs.
