Now that the ley lines around Cabeswater have been woken, nothing for Ronan, Gansey, Blue, and Adam will be the same. Ronan, for one, is falling more and more deeply into his dreams, and his dreams are intruding more and more into waking life. Wow, who wouldn't want their dreams to come true? We follow Ronan as he learns more about his past and how to deal with the future. The characters are strong and very well written. You could imagine being there as they discovered how things have changed and what they need to do to "fix" things.
There are some interesting new characters, kind of hoping to learn more about them but don't think that they are all that important to the story, just that they are also after the pieces to the puzzle and so far no one has the full picture. There were some sudden twists in the plot, some were good. There were some great imagination used to get past some situations and some very lateral thinking.
I would love to read the next book and will be looking out for it, not sure how the story is going to go as it is kind of hard to guess the ending but that is what makes it such a great book.
OMG! Usually when you read a sequel it's never as good as the first one, but boy oh boy was this good and man oh man I already can't wait for the next book in the series, seriously can't wait.
The Dream Thieves takes place very shortly after the events of The Raven Boys and follows our main characters from the first book. I love Blue, she is such a great character, bound by a fate she has been told her whole life, determined that fate shouldn't get to choose, yet also finds fate coming true despite all her wishes for it not to.
All the boys were written brilliantly too, each developed so well and you really feel for each in very different ways. There are a few twists in here which always adds to a book and makes it even better, I seriously didn't see any of the twists coming. I also have to say, that there are some parts that really had me feeling for the various characters.
This is a brilliant follow up to The Raven Boys and I really really REALLY can't wait for the next book, HURRY UP PLEASE Stiefvater!!!!
