An atmospheric, romantic ghost mystery set in the Scottish Highlands. Ivy Calhoun's life has been turned upside down. Her new stepdad has uprooted Ivy and her mum, bringing them to live in an actual castle in the misty Scottish countryside. There are stone-faced servants and shadowy corridors, and the ancient walls seem full of secrets. Ivy is at once frightened and intrigued.

Especially when she meets Logan, a gorgeous, elusive ghost who has haunted the castle grounds for decades. Ivy is immediately drawn to him ... but Logan is not the only spirit around. Something dark and deadly is afoot, and soon Ivy finds herself in mortal danger. Is Logan exactly what he seems? Could his mysterious past be tied to Ivy's present? And can Ivy stop herself from falling in love with him?

I remember being young (vaguely) and dreaming of meeting a man who knew what romance was who would kiss your hand and hold doors, and give you his jacket when you were cold. Well that is just what Ivy finds in Logan, the only problem is Logan is a ghost from 200 years in the past. That's not all there is to it either there is some curse hanging over the old castle at Glenmorrag and together Logan and Ivy must find out what is going on before lives are put in danger.

As a bit of a romantic I couldn't help but get lost in the pages of the book just hoping that Ivy and Logan would find a way to be together, I won't give away the ending of the story but there are some tense moments where it almost seems impossible for them to remain together. I loved Logan's Scottish accent and the way he talked in the book I think it added to the romance and it wasn't over done so was still easy to read. I think the author Cindy Miles does a good job of building the romance with the touches and kisses the characters share. I know how do you kiss a ghost right? Well Cindy Miles makes it very believable.

The relationship isn't made easy for Logan and Ivy though as there are evil powers at work in the castle eager to get rid of Ivy and her mum for good and by any means. Ivy's life isn't safe and there are certainly some moments where her life hangs by a shoestring with just the right level of tension. The Grandmother seems really evil and nasty and she holds the clue to figuring out what exactly is going on in the castle at Glenmorrag. If you read closely there are a lot of hints given throughout the book to her involvement I think I figured out by about page 40 that she has something to do with the going on's.

I did think the book was wrapped up pretty quickly and I would of loved for it to continue. I wanted to know more about Logan's past which was only touched upon lightly to finish the book. I think his character could of been further developed by knowing how he died, how he was at the castle in the first place, and more about the Munro clan in general. In saying that this is a book aimed at young adults so is a good length as it is for busy teens.

A ghost story with a difference. I was intrigued by reading the back cover and glad I got this book to review, I was expecting a love story and for things to be normal as usual but I got a good story and found I was hoping to find out what was happening and why Logan died and would Logan and Ivy be able to overcome their differences.

The book was easy to read and the story had me hooked, I managed to read it all in one day. I really liked most the characters as they were well written, even the "evil" grandmother but I'm glad that the reason was explained. It is best if you have a very open mind when reading the book or believe in magic and the unexplained.

I will be keeping an eye out for any other books by Cindy Miles as I really enjoyed this story and if any more of her books are available I'm sure I would enjoy them.
