When I was visiting my sister in Auckland last we went to a cafe in Devonport and the coffee there was so good. They sold bags off their coffee beans and ground coffee so I picked up a bag of it to take home with me. I don't have a coffee maker so I grabbed a bag of the ground beans so I could use it in a plunger. The variety I selected was the house blend espresso.
The ground beans smell amazing they are in a resealable pouch to keep the beans fresh and when you open the pouch you are hit with the most amazing coffee smell. I put a couple of tablespoons inside my plunger add hot water and wait for a few minutes for it to brew before plunging. It is so hard waiting because it smells too good to have to wait for.
Once I have added milk to the coffee it is quite a dark strong coffee, darker than you get with an instant coffee but boy does it taste nice. It has an intense coffee bean flavour but it is sweet and smooth at the same time with no tasty bitter after taste. You can tell the beans are really fresh and have only been ground and not altered in any way as it has a natural coffee flavour.
