Product reviews...
I have tried two other Kaweka Meal for One in this range and I have so far been impressed with the flavour of the sauce and the sheer size of the meal. Often meals that are designed for one person are more like a snack to me, and I always feel hungry again a little while later. With me being in money saving mode, I've stopped buying my lunch at cafes and I've stopped using vending machines too. Therefore my lunches must taste good, be cheap and be filling.
This was the first Kaweka meal I have had without rice. I wasn't too sure what to expect. I opened each packet a little way and then microwaved both for 2 minutes. I let the packets stand a little while and then I poured them out onto a plate. The smell of the Beef Bourguinon was delicious. It smelt like a rich casserole, with onion pieces, clear beef pieces and lots of sauce. The potato was creamy as promised, soft and well cooked and really really tasty.
I couldn't actually decide which part of this meal I enjoyed the most. The flavour was just so good for both and they also complimented each other. The only downside to this meal was that there was a lot of sauce for each portion and nothing to really help mop the sauce up. I did have a limited supply of bread, but I think the plus of having the rice is that it soaks up all the sauces nicely. A small thing though and it certainly wouldn't stop me trying this one again. As I say, both were delicious and very filling.

A traditional English sausage, using coarsely minced pork and our mix of herbs, very English indeed.
