BEST IF YOU WANT TO: Soften and protect hands, even after washing. Our best-selling Hemp Hand Protector is dermatologically tested for very dry skin and contains Community Trade hemp seed oil.
BEST FOR: dry to extremely dry skin
How it works:
Community Trade hemp seed oil has an unusually high concentration of essential fatty acids that help to repair skin's moisture barrier, so skin is smooth and supple.
Community Trade organic beeswax moisturises and conditions; acts as a barrier to seal in moisture.
Product reviews...
I have dermatitis, and have had it for roughly twenty years so far. During the last twenty years I have used a range of steroid creams (thanks to my doctor), some cream recommended by a homoeopath and some plain old Vitamin E cream from the supermarket. About a year ago I popped into a The Body Shop store and was recommended the Hemp Hand Protector.
The great thing about this cream, it that whilst $24 will only get you a 100ml tube of cream you only need a very small amount, enough to fit on your index fingers nail. I first rub the cream into the patch of skin that it so dry it is peeling, cracking etc and then rub it into the rest of my hands. It doesn't feel greasy on my skin, and it never feels like it is rubbing off onto things etc. unless I use too much.
This doesn't just work on hands, my mum has some very dry skin on her feet and ankles and so I gave her some of this cream about three weeks ago. Just a little bit each day, she still has about a quarter of it left, and her feet and ankles are doing a huge amount better. If you suffer from really dry skin then I suggest you give this a go, it's well worth the money spent on it.
