Product reviews...
OK so I admit I may be slightly addicted to "storage" type solutions, especially if they look awesome and have bold bright colours, so I am always on the look out for great storage, and rubbish free, lunch solutions. These Nude Food Movers Triple Snack Tubes give me everything I wanted in a food storage container and are prefect for being able to have multiple items individual stored, with no "merging", within a compact and practical design.
I have always fought the dip battle trying to find a tight way to ensure hummus / dips stay separated from other items that they often spoil, such as rice crackers, and these so far have been leakproof ensuring also that there are no messy lunch bag clean-ups at the end of the day.
I love the fact you can easily just throw these in the dishwasher with all your other items and know there will be no damage and they will wash up well - I have yet to have any real staining from products stored but did find that beetroot or carrot based dips / hummus have left some discoloration which I guess can be expected - it did seem to fade over subsequent washes but is something to be aware of; the blue tends to be the best at "hiding" any stains.
Overall this is a great product which I use on the run, in my son's lunchbox for yoghurt or snacks and also for fridge storage of leftovers. They are a staple part of my storage stash and I love them, mix and match to your mood and you have a winner.
I have seen these Nude Food Movers Triple Snack Tubes around in various different shops for a few years now, however I had never needed to buy them myself up until a few days ago, when I decided that this handy little stack of containers might well be what I needed. Since Miss 3 had recently got put on a rather strict diet due to allergies I opted to pack her lunch and snacks for daycare so that it is easier to keep track of what she has and has not been eating each day. We already had a lunch box which could fit in a few pieces of fruit and other items nicely, however when it came to packing in some loose snacks such as raisins, crackers, or carrot sticks we didn't really have anywhere for these to go. Our lunchbox has a little side holder attached to it which is meant for a drink bottle however it looked the perfect size for a Nude Food Mover to fit in to so thus is what we used it for.
The Nude Food Mover Triple Snack Tubes has been such a great purchase, so much so that we now own 2 of them, the colours available are so bright and bold and perfect for kids and my daughter loved being able to pick out her own colours, getting one pink and one green. I really love how convenient these are and how they keep all your snacks together in one place. We have used these to pack snacks as part of the kindy lunch box but also as a snack container to take along to the zoo with us. As well as packing dry foods into these we have also used them to store liquid type foods such as yoghurt and fruit salad, and have no problems with leakages or spillages which is fantastic.
An easy to use, compact storage system that simply twists apart that I definitely recommend buying if your in need for a snack system for a lunch box, they are dishwasher safe which is even better! Not only are they great for food but I'm sure they would also come in handy for things such as craft items.
I discovered these when my son started school in 2011 and they needed to have their morning tea separated and named, I wanted something that could be reused and still provide a good amount of food for him. We have also used the triples in a sistema lunch box for Playcentre as they fit nicely without the need for lids, perfect for little hands.
Both my children are now at school and both use them, we have the triples and double which are taller. School has gone rubbish free in the last couple of years so it's nice to be able to buy bulk packed items and put them into the pods rather than individually packaged items. Typically you'll find a muesli bar in the tall pod, scroggin or nut mix in a smaller one, then a one piece of bread sandwich or cut up vegetables in the bottom small one of my kids. Everything is still lovely and fresh by the time they get to eat it, apples haven't gone brown and horrible, the sandwich hasn't gone stale, which is, of course, very helpful when you want them to eat everything.
I would recommend these to everyone, be it for yourself in the car or bag, or for your kids, they wash up well, it doesn't matter if you want 1 or 5, you only need 1 lid, they're nicely air and water tight so you don't need to worry too much what you put into them. Great range of colours now too so you can be very creative which is always useful to encourage kids to eat.
I first came across these when looking for an easy way to seperate out portions of formula when my son was a young baby and we were going out and about. The dividers you could buy specifically for the closer to nature bottles or other brands of bottles where a lot more expensive so I decided that these would be perfectly adequate for what we needed them for.
They come in a stack of three so I could have 3 measured out portions of formula which was perfect when we were having a day out with friends. The containers screw up tightly so there is no lost powder and you can easily tip them into the wide mouth of the tommee tippee closer to nature bottles without losing any of the powder. It was great knowing they were bpa free and no harmful chemicals from the plastic would be going into his bottles too.
Now my son is older and isn't drinking formula anymore these are fantastic for taking his snacks when we go out and about to things like play group. I can keep all three of the containers tidyly together in his bag yet keep the three snacks seperate. Perfect for when you are taking things that would ruin the taste of others if they were touching!
They are great for snacks for him as the containers are only small which is all we need for an 18 month old!
I have both the triple set and the double set...well I have 2 sets of each!! These containers are amazing!! I have a bright pink set and a blue set, and I love the way I can mix and match the different sizes and colours if I want. It is a brilliant idea that each container can screw onto another container and they are leak proof and are air tight so my food/snacks stay in the container and keep the food fresh.
The smaller sized containers are perfect for nuts, raisins etc and the larger/longer containers are perfect for carrot or celery sticks. They are so versatile that any piece of food or snacks can fit into the container. The screw lids and screw system are easy to use...even when they are screwed on tight to make them airtight they can easily be unscrewed by young children (my nieces) and the food is easily accessed.
There are so many colours available so whatever your favourite colour is there is a probably a container to suit your need.....my bright pink and blue colours are unmissable in the draw and if I lose them somewhere in the car they are easy to spot!! Not to mention they are easy to clean, straight into the dishwasher to make everyone's life so much easier!
The containers are the perfect size to fit into the cup-holder in the car so they are built for snacks on the go! There is no excuse not to eat healthy, the containers look great which makes me want to use them and I love the colours I chose so I want to use them every day and see them in my lunchbox, or the cup-holder in my car. They are so light weight also that they are easy to take on a hike or walk and don't take up much room in a bag so they aren't bulky at all are a pleasure to take anywhere.
I have recommended these containers to other people and with the added bonus of having no extra rubbish caused by plastic wrap or lunch wrap/plastic bags they are the perfect thing for the environment. A must have for just about everyone!
I have seen the Nude Food Movers double and triple snack tubes in the shops and thought they would be a handy thing. I recently bought some of their lunchboxes for my girls and got a triple snack tube for each of them free as part of a limited special offer. I have found them to be fabulous when we are out and about.
The three containers screw onto each other and the top one has a lid. The containers are all the same so they can go together in any order. They also fit together with the double snack tubes which are deeper than triples. They don't screw together with the snack pots (which come in the rubbish free lunchboxes) or fit into the lunch boxes but they do have the same lids as the snack pots.
Since the containers screw together they form a larger object to dig around in your bag for. It also fits into the bottle pouch on the side of many school bags or the cup holder in the car. I noticed my three year old sat with the stack between her knees at the movies and once she finished the top pot I simply screwed to the bottom and she ate from the next container.
The lazy mum in me likes that I have less washing up to do since I only need one lid for the whole stack. I can give my girls a stack each with a different thing in each container or at a picnic I can use it for sauces. Of course I don't need to use all three containers at once, I could use as few as I need or screw multiple sets together.
Both my sets are coloured so the kids can't really see what is inside. I find although my girls know there is more food in the other containers they always eat from the top one first which means I can get them to eat the healthier food first, another bonus. I find these so useful that I am going to get some doubles for us all to use and some triples for myself.

Santoku knives originated in Japan and are general purpose kitchen knives. The word refers to the three cutting tasks which the knife performs well: slicing, dicing and mincing.
The rounded nose allows the knife to be rolled from the front for fine dicing of herbs etc. It has an extra wide blade so when doing fine slicing at speed you can rest your knuckle against the blade and keep your finger tips out of the way of the cutting action.
Approximate blade length: 17.5cm / 7in
