Want to see what introduced Bruce Willis to the world and made Cybill Shepherd a star after almost ten years absence? Then look no further than Moonlighting. Maddie has lost all her money after embezzlement by her accountant and all she has left is a failing detective agency run by David. They decide to work together and keep the business alive for as long as possible.
Moonlighting created a few firsts. They brilliantly combined comedy and drama, they were the first show to be nominated for both drama and comedy in the same year (twice) and they broke the fourth wall in which the actors would reference the writers, studio, script etc.
Willis and Shepherd work brilliantly together, their banter works perfectly and the tension etc between them is flawless. This is one of the best shows that I have seen, ever, and one that I continue to enjoy.
