Easy Omelette, Without the Flip
A perfect omelette is fluffy, folded to perfection and cooked just right, but making omelettes at home can be difficult, especially when it's time to flip them. Breville's Omelette Creations has extra deep wells, allowing you to cook an omelette with up to three eggs in each. Even cooking on both top and bottom means that the omelette cooks quickly, evenly and is left intact when it's ready to serve.
The cool-touch handles make handling safe and the non-stick cooking surface, makes clean-up easy.
Don't flip out about the flip.
Product reviews...
When I saw the Breville Omelet Creation maker in stores I knew that this was something that I had to get, so when my partner bought this for me for Christmas I was very excited (though I feel that this purchase may have been more so for his benefit than it was mine!). My partner loves omelets and requests them ALL the time however when it comes to flipping omelets I really am no good at it, I end up with a great big scrambled mess half the time.
The Breville Omelet Creation maker features cool-touch handles which is great as it means you are not going to burn yourself when opening and closing the lid, the machine is really quick to heat up and only takes a few minutes to cook an omelet on the non-stick surface. The non-stick surface really is non-stick which is a bonus as I normally find myself having to grease other 'non-stick' surfaces and being non-stick makes cleaning up the maker quick and easy with a quick wipe with a damp soapy cloth, even cooked cheese comes off just like that.
The machine can make 3 egg omelets, but I tend to only use 2 eggs so that I have plenty of room for yummy fillings to be added, my partner loves his omelet stuffed with cheese, bacon and tomato. While I like to add cheese, avocado, spinach and ham to mine. With this machine there are so many tasty combinations you can try even sweet varieties! The omelet maker comes with a little book which also features a few filling and recipe ideas which is handy, but of course you can always search up new ideas and inspiration on google! The only thing I have to suggest when using this machine is that you make sure that you cook any meat you are using first, such as bacon or chicken as the machine doesn't take long to cook the egg with the high heat, but it's not quite long enough I find to cook meat at the same rate!
The omelet maker has deep holes to fit everything in and can cook 2 omelets at once which is handy, I now can make perfect omelets every time and best of all my partner can now make his own! A great little handy machine to own great for pulling out to make a quick tasty snack or a filling breakfast. If you have trouble flipping omelets this is exactly what you need!
I have never been a very good omelette maker, hubby can make them perfectly, but not me! And so when I discovered the Omelette creation, much to hubbys disgust I had to have it. Okay I can understand his not really seeing why I needed it, I mean he can make a great omelette afterall, so why on earth did we need to be spending some 50 odd dollars on something, when we had him...so I could make the perfect omelette of course!!
I love my omelette creation, honestly, how easy is this? Whisk your eggs in a bowl, add anything you want (cheese, salami, spring onion, mushroom, tomatoe...whatever it is you want), and season to taste. The when your omelette creation has warmed up and is ready to go, pour in the correct amount, close the lid, lock and wait...perfect, fluffy, yummy omelettes everytime!! It is so great that even the kids can use it.
I do recommend when allowing children to operate, you do help them if they are younger. The inside can get very hot, and we do not want any accidents happening in the name of a great omelette. I also advise supervising when they are pouring in their mixture. Too much mixture can cause overflow problems which can cause a bit of an eggy mess during the cooking process.
We still love a good old fashioned omelette made from scratch by hubby, but when it comes to time frame, ease of use, convenience...don't pass up the omelette creation. It is truly awesome!
I was given my Omelette Creation maker as a birthday present and man I have put it to great use. I love making and eating omelettes but could never get a perfectly flipped omelette and most of the time when I made (well attempted to make) an omelette I ended up with an omelette that looked more like scrambled eggs until I used my Omelette Creation maker and then I could make a perfect omelette each and every time and with a lot less effort.
I was very impressed with the ease of use and how fast the omelettes cooked within the Omelette Creation maker! I was very surprised that the wells are deep enough that three eggs can be used to make one omelette, but that is only if you use three eggs by themselves with no extra filling ingredients because once you add extra fillings there is too much for the wells. But whether you add extra fillings or not the wells create a perfect size omelette for someone that has a very healthy appetite. I mixed everything together in a separate bowl and with ease poured the omelette mixer into the Omelette Creation maker, I closed the lid and 5 minutes later my omelettes were ready and cooked to absolute perfection! The omelette had a perfectly browned and crispy outer crust and a perfectly cooked but still soft eggy centre!
I put all the ingredients in raw, onion, bacon, capsicum, cheese, and green peas and all the ingredients cooked perfectly inside the Omelette Creation maker so I didn't need to prepare the fillings before they went into the Omelette Creation maker, so that cut down half my time which is great if I am in a rush! It is great having two omelette wells within the Omelette Creation maker as I can make one omelette for my dinner and cook another one for my lunch the next day both at the same time again which saves me time.
With the non-stick wells the omelette doesn't stick and slides out very easily so the Omelette Creation maker is a healthy option as well because I don't need to pre-oil or pre-butter the wells like I needed to when using a fry pan. Not having to flip the omelette either is a bonus, as the Omelette Creation maker cooks the omelette top to bottom and everything in between all at the same time. It really is a great little kitchen appliance and if you like omelettes is the appliance for you.
Another bonus of the Omelette Creation maker is how the heat doesn't transfer to the handles of the Omelette Creation maker allowing the user to stay safe from burning their hands and fingers when opening or closing the lid. It is very easy to wipe clean and cools down very quickly so can be packed away until it is next needed. In my opinion the Omelette Creation maker is a perfect small appliance and everyone that is an egg lover should own a Omelette Creation maker!!
