Red Pepper Relish is sweet and tangy, and is great with cheese and in sandwiches.
Use as a glaze or sauce for lamb, pork or chicken dishes. It is also a great addition to hamburgers or BBQ'd meats.

Product reviews...
Well I have to admit to being extremely impressed by this little jar of goodness.
I have tried many a relish, and am happy to say this is definitely at the top of the list for me. Sweet and tangy as already stated, and it is no lie...perfect with cheese, but perfect with almost anything your heart desires if you dont mind mixing lots of flavors, .
The relish is not too chunky, i need to mention this as i know many people who are put off by relishes that are overly chunky. And as an added bonus, its not to runny either. The consistency is pretty much perfect.
The jar is a lovely wee size. The price is not to bad, although would be nicer if it was slightly larger, but that is a purely selfish want.
So yep i gave this relish two thumbs up: great taste , great consistency ...a truly yummy relish, and it has such a yummy flavor you really dont need to add any extra seasoning either.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....
Ok, so I guess I need to say more than that, but it is hard to speak with my mouth full. And type with my fingers full of food.
The red pepper relish is a deliciously sweet flavoured relish chock full of capsicum with gentle hints of other spices. The sweetness is tempered with the slight acidity from the vinegar. On the whole, this relish fills the palate with a supurb blend of sweet with sour with spice.
There is not the complexity of flavours when compared with the lime pickle or the Kassoundi, but simplicity can be a fantastic thing too and each have their place. They can add a different note to a dish rather than detract from it.
Although of the four samples I've tasted, it isn't my favourite (I think that honour would have to go to the kassoundi) but it is a close tied second with the lime pickle.
The one thing I've not mentioned with all the samples Q Garden supplied, and I perhaps should have mentioned sooner, that all products reviewed to date are gluten-free. That is a big selling point to many people. I guess from a personal level, if the manufacturers can guarentee gluten-free, it might have been good to state if the products are vegetarian or vegan. Not a biggie to me, but it might be a nice idea :)
Fantastic products and if these four products are anything to go by, the rest of the range should be equally fantastic.
This was my personal favourite from the range - a tangy, but not overpowering, relish that reminded me of some of the best spicy tomato relishes I have tried in my days. The smooth texture, with just a few chunks scattered throughout, gave it plenty of character without making it awkward to spread evenly. Nothing worse than one bite with nothing then the next with too much.
This was a product I needed to experiment with, so tried a few ideas... but my favourite was also the simplest - basting hamburger patties while they grilled on the BBQ - it reduced down and carmelised into a wonderful, tasty glaze that really made the patties something spectacular.
Great in sandwiches, amazing on fresh toast with sliced cheese, and simply amazing on cold meat cuts just rolled up and pegged with a toothpick, this is a product I will be looking to get more of in future... and because of the big taste, you don't need too much to make an impact, meaning even the little jar will go a fair way.
Overall, though it may sound a little scary to those with a delicate palate, you can rest assured it won't give you chemical burns on the roof of your mouth. It is flavourful, yet subtle enough to be quite acceptable to the quiet Kiwi tastebuds. Oh, I almost forgot... it's also really nice used in a stir-fry or stirred through a slow-cooker casserole too.
This looks fantastic and smells great. I am a big relish girl, i could eat it daily with a spoon straight from the jar.
i am impressed that this one has a 50% capsicum level and it tastes great. It has a slightly sweet taste to it and i personally would put it in the low - mild heat rating. This is great on cheese and would go excellent in my nachos and other mince dishes.
I find alot of products like this have a huge ingredients list and this one only has 8. It does look fantastically packed and everyone should have a jar in the cupboard. I do have one question though, does it come in a bigger jar?
