This is a very easy read, I finished it in one day and I will happily read it again if I can get it back from my daughter! :)
The year is 475 and you feel like you are there. The descriptions of the land and people are very detailed. You can almost smell the trees :)
Alexa is the main character who has big dreams of breeding horses but when a family tragedy takes place her life is turned upside down. She now has an obligation to her family and takes it on her shoulders with the help of her father's groom Syragus. They are forced to travel far from home but Alexa takes it in her stride.
Alexa is a very strong character who will fulfil her family's needs as well as reaching her dream!
I highly recommend this book for anyone from 14 up.
