I'll listen to almost anything really, especially if I haven't heard it before. After all, how do you know if you'll like it, if you don't try it? It was ONLY because of this ethic that I decided to give this a go. I don't really go for this genre of music.
I was quite surprised by some of the tracks, such as '-1' since it wasn't really a thrashmetal sound at all, almost mainstream in places even.
But this is more than just a sequence of music videos, this is a timeline'd record of a concert tour in action, including commentaries and interviews, both for the DVD and for other agencies, including (and this really took me by surprise) 'Axeman' Paul Martin from The Rock FM here in NZ! He gave a good accounting of Kiwi DJ's and made the perfect ambassadore of NZ for a Mudvayne concert. Kiwi's really are showing up all over the place these days!
If you dig the HEAVYmetal scene, and like Mudvayne anyway, you'll love the 'inside view' of the band you will get from this DVD. If you haven't heard of Mudvayne, you're NOT a heavy metal freak, so stop posing.
Agro metal is what these guys are all about, and this DVD shows you exactly what they mean by that. Clearly. No subtle hints. Just in-ya-face Mudvayne. Despite the not-so-subtle tinge of arrogance, these guys KNOW how to rock the crowds. Awesome!
