"Little lamb, little lamb, let me come in"
"No! Not by the wool on my skinny-skin-skin!"

A new Zealand adaptation of the three little pigs. A well worded book that would be ideal for reading to younger children to encourage involvement in the story. The pictures were clear and colourful and tied the story together well. Overall a great learning story.
Another great corker of a book! I absolutely adore this series of great New Zealand yarns. The Three Little Lambs is based on the old tale of The Three Little Pigs. It's still the same great story, just with a bit of Kiwiana thrown in. Instead of Pigs there's Lambs. Instead of a wolf, there's a wicked weasel. Instead of straw, sticks and bricks there's Silver ferns, Paua Shells and Hangi Stones.
My 3yr old daughter loves this book! She can tell me verse by verse what happens next! And every time i say the little lamb wants to build a whare she immediately says "house". So this is also a great way to add a few Maori words into your child's vocabulary.
The pictures are bold and quirky and definitely pulls the reader into the story.
I recommend this book to everyone!

"I like to pick up hitchhikers. When they get in the car I say, "Put on your seat belt. I want to try something. I saw it once in a cartoon, but I think I can do it."
