When it's inappropriate to eat fruit - EAT STARBURST
Squirts are jelly fruit-flavoured treats with gooey liquid centers.
Made with real fruit juice, they are 99% fat-free.
Product reviews...
These were my partners favourite lollies and I must admit although I much prefer chocolate over lollies I did quite like these too. With a yummy jelly like shell, and a soft gooey liquid center these really are quite tasty. Each Starburst Squirt lolly is like eating 2 flavours in 1, as the outer jelly shell and the gooey liquid center are 2 different flavours, they did seem to always be tasty combinations though which complemented each other well. The colours were bright and fun!
The packets were a little misleading regarding the size, they are packed full of air so you don't actually get as many lollies as you first expect to get. The price is great however and kind of balances itself well with the amount of lollies that you get. They are definitely one of the yummier lollies on the market with there real fruity taste, though The Natural Confectionery Co would still be my number one pick for when it comes to lollies, these are fruity but not quite as fruity as my number one faves.
I haven't seen these on the market for quite some time now which is a shame but The Natural Confectionery Co has recently produced some that are similar which come is a berry variety and also a citrus variety, these are probably the closest thing you will find in store to the Starburst Squirts and I am quite happy to eat these.
I remember when these first came out geez that was a long time ago now makes me feel pretty old really. My daughter was only quite young when they came out and could only eat soft lollies so I bought a packet of these for her one day as a treat. The pack was a decent size and was a good price so was okay to buy as a treat when she was good.
While I quite liked them she did not unfortunately! She liked soft fruit lollies but the juicy burst inside she just didn't like and said it was yucky. I found it the opposite I would bite into them and then suck all the juicy sweet goodness out before eating the rest of the jelly shell. My favourite was the blue filling whic sort of had a blueberry taste to it.
I haven't seen these on the shelfs for a while now but would happily buy a packet if I did see them, although I may be on my own eating them but hey who would complain about that!
Im sorry but these are possibly the worst lollies ever created! I love starbursts and the flavour of the lollies are amazing. These though are a normal lollie but with a sweet watery sickly juice type liquid that comes out when you bite it. Its unpleasant and every time i bite into these lollies i wonder what on earth it is that is oozing out.
The price on the other hand seems reasonable for the amount in the packet. Perhaps these are good for a novelty factor, but for me the texture of the liquid was unpleasant.Sweets that state 99% fat free really anger me as they are laden of sugar and not at all healthy as the 99% fat free suggests. Its a real let down for a great confectionery brand!
I agree whole-heartedly!
I like sweets, and I really LOVE sour sweets, so I was pleasantly surprised when I was presented with the opportunity to try these new Starburst sweets.
Great, yeah, good! :)
Being a lolly lover, and having read KIWIreviewer-00's review, I just had to try these. I agree - these sweets are quite pricey for such a small amount, but I believe they are worth it!
Gummy capsules encase fruity, gooey liquid centres. Yum. I am hooked! Great flavours and packaging is cheerily colourful too.
Very squishy-licious! However the packet made it look like a decent portion, but there was a LOT of airspace inside. 56g doesn't give you a lot of lollies these days. However, due to the 'gourmet' nature of these ones, I would say the price was about right actually.
I would have to say, these are some of the yummiest confections I have snarfed in many a month.
Overall... well worth investing a few $'s to take these for a testdrive, and if you are a sugar-freak, even more so!
