I have always been interested in historical locations, like the pyrimids of Egypt, Machu Pichu, Stonehenge and many other places, so when I caught this show on TV i was quite interested, especially with the interesting spin that has been put on what can quite often be a very dull subject, that of archaeology.

Normaly with archaeology once a site is discovered it is carefully excavated and documented, and this is quite often a very slow and time consuming process.... Well it was until Time Team came around.

Time Team is presented by Tony Robinson (of Blackadder fame), and features a team of archaeologists and other experts as they attempt to uncover and discover what life must have been like at each site they attend..... But they only have 3 days in which to do it. I have found that this cut down approach to archaeology makes this show very watchable, and yet still very informative, as it really quite amazing what they can find in only 3 days.

This DVD set contains 13 episodes covering everything from the Palaeolithic age (Stone Age) all the way up to the Industrial age (18th-19th Century). If you are not a history buff in any way then I suspect that this will not interest you, but if you are, or you know someone who is, then don't hesitate to buy this DVD set.
