Product reviews...
Up until recently I thought a peeler was a peeler, well I now know that this is most definately not the case.
This is easily the most comfortable peeler I have used, it is designed to fit perfectly in your hand, and the blades have to be some of the sharpest ever, and combined with the vibration feature peeling items is the easiest thing ever, the time it will take you to peel your vegies, or your fruit will be dramatically reduced.
This unit takes the chore out of peeling the vegies for cooking.
Fascinating invention with beautifully sharp blades and a powered function that left my hand vibrating a little after use. It was quite fun to play with, but when I got my mother and aunt to try it, they weren't overly fussed by the vibrations. Works beautifully when off, however. Definitely effective for a quick, easy peel.
This peeler is one of the most ergonomically peelers I have ever had the pleasure to use. No stiff wrists or achy hands after peeling a sack of spuds and for that, I recommend this very highly. The shape makes the peeler easy to be gripped by anyone - the arthritic, the elderly or even those who simply have big hands and find that standard peelers are a few sizes too small to be of comfort. The only fiddle, is swapping the blades over easily - this does require people to be nimble fingered.
Speaking of blades, these have to be THE sharpest peeler blades EVER. The lightest touch seems to have the skin off the spud and into the sink - and this was without power switched on. The julienne blade was equally sharp and made very short work of carrots and other veggies I wanted ito julienne. I do have to say I never noticed much difference between the blades with the power on or off. Perhaps as the blades age and become less razor edged, then this function may come into its own. Perhaps it works better with other veggies other than the ones I used. Maybe, this effect is more noticeable with those who find peeling harder because of infirmities.
However, that said, I do have to say this is one very sharp blade and a very comfortable handle. I shall continue to use this power blade peeler for those alone.
