Miss four absolutely adores Hi-5...unfortunately she adores the original Hi-5 so this dvd did not go down to well for her. She watched it for about 15 minutes initially but then stopped watching as she got frustrated that the group were not all original.
I do believe that if she was not such an avid watcher of the original Hi-5 she would have been more accepting of it straight away, and it was not due to lack of good music, interest or story line that stopped her watching it, it was just that the people, to her, were not who they should have been. After a few days of being growly about it, she did however sit and watch the entire dvd...so there is hope
This is a neat concert. All the performers have a mass of energy that I don't have ha ha. This is the first time I have seen Hi-5 since the change of performers. Personally I liked the first fab 5, and seeing the 3 new faces it just looks wrong to me. In saying that, this in no way reduces the peformance they provide.
I feel the group is tartgeting the 4yrs to 7yrs audience as my daughter (she's 2 and a half) hasn't taken to this one as much as she did to the Fairies. I feel this is because Hi-5 do a lot more talking in the show than singing, and they do more role playing and use their and the child's imagination.
All in all I feel this one will be more used once my daughter gets a bit older.
