Playskool stack and nest toys are my go to birthday present for the little ones, they fit my budget well with being under $10 and they are great fun.

Young children get alot of enjoyment out of these even my own kids have a set. They teach space awareness by the cubes stacking inside each other, if you tip them up they stack on top of each other. The are bright colours to help learn colours. These also teach big to small lining them up in a line.

These stack and nest toys are normally from 6mth up. my 4 and 3 year olds love them still, as they grow so does the brains and they get used for so much not just stacking, but making stairs for barbies, water play, sand play and general messy play.

This will stay my go to toy for gifts and i recommend this toy for hours of fun

Stack and nest cubes are one of the most versatile and cheap toys out! When my eldest son started grabbing toys - these were easy for him to hold onto, and he soon learnt how to stack them into towers and knock them over! Then he moved onto being able to stack them back into each other.

These are now used in the bath, where he pretends to bake cakes in them. My 6 month old now likes to grab these whilst in the bath (the small blue one being his favourite!!) and he wont let go of them. So easy to grip for wee hands. I will be needing to buy a new set so he can play with them out of the bath.

The colours are fantastic and great tools for learning colour recognition. They are made from super strong plastic and after 3 years of constant use, ours are still like brand new! Awesome product.

As a mother of four children, Stack and Nest cubes and barrels are one of the best products that we have ever had. In fact we had one set of small, one set of large barrels and a set of cubes.

The are durable (ours are now 8yrs old and still going strong) , washable and just the right size for little hands.

They teach hand-eye co-ordination. They teach them colour recognition, sizes, that the small ones can fit into a large one.

My children use them with pretend baking as containers.

These are one toy that every child should have in their toy box.

You just cant beat these barrel stackers.
The colours are bright and vibrant. Great for teaching colours just by repeating them when playing.
Great for fine motor skills with stacking and putting the barrels together. Also great for size recognition when having to decide which barrel goes inside another.
Lots of time is spent stacking these barrels on top of each other and so much fun is had knocking them over with huge amounts of squealing involved.
We also use these barrels in the bath for tipping games and the fun never ends.
A great toy to take in the car as they all stack inside each other and take up hardly any room.
Such a cheap and versatile toy, great value for money. You just can't go wrong with it.

For the smaller kids, who have managed to find 'sitting' but not yet 'walking' these are perfect little toys. Building hand-eye coordination skills is vital at this age and these do a great job. In the early stages adult supervision and assistance are required but they will soon be self motivated to figure it out for themselves. As usual the starting stages will be more 'adult build, kid smash' but thats still a whole lot of fun for them, watching the stack come tumbling down in a riot of noise and colour. They are simply shapes, squares in one pack, round in another, and stack fairly well. They nest inside each other for easy storage but build to a stack about as high as their shoulders when seated. They are sized so they stack slightly loose, allowing for an easy tumble without locking together and spoiling the fun. All in all, simple but effective and at a good price, though I did see them priced at $12.00 in one shop so pays to shop around.
