Product reviews...
I have had, over the years, a few of these little rollerbags... but only recently have I had the chance to trial a couple of laptop-oriented versions... and I must say how disappointed I have been with them in general.
Thus it was with a hefty portion of surprise that I put this one through it's paces and watched it pass with flying colours! You see, pretty much all of the bags and carrycases that claim "Will fit up to a 15 inch laptop" actually should say "Will fit your 15 inch laptop, with the gentle application of a crowbar or shoehorn"... now, since I have a 17" laptop, it's rather diffcult to find a decent carrybag that will comfortably fit the laptop, power adapter, assorted cables... plus the portable HDD, webcam, USB speakers, mouse, memory card reader, and other assorted oddments that may be required for a presentation...
Well, not only was I able to easily find homes for all the equipment in this bag, but there was easily room to fit a second laptop... or maybe something like a cooling pad, graphics tablet, or something of about that shape and size... as well as a LOT more accessories...
Features I really liked:
• The retractable handle had 2 support bars, reducing the amount of twist that can happen before you correct it. Bags with a single-bar handle can cause uncomfortable wrist strain when travelling over non-smooth surfaces or if one wheel hits a rock, to the point of even twisting free of your grip and falling over.
• HUGE storage capacity. Your laptop and all accessories can easily fit into the pockets on the bag's main lid, meaning you have the large cavity in the main body of the bag for clothes etc when travelling.
• There are only 3 zippers to access the entire bag, and all three are lockable. Unlike many other 'lockable' bags, where you can actually open the zip and gain reasonably-full access to the contents, these zips lock so ticht that you can not open the bag at all without physically damaging it. No subtle pilfering as it passes through the airport with this bag!
• Two carry handles as well as the retractable tow-handle, meaning you can carry it in either orientation. OK, nothing particularly unique there, but these are the most comfortable handles I have encountered in a long time. The top one is solid plastic with a rubberised grip, while the side one is sturdy high-strain fabric, meaning it doesn't stick out and ruin the excellent styling.
Overall, by far the most stunning example of quality luggage for the mobile tech-head. The only tiny gripe I had with this bag is that with all this storage space, I no longer need to 'trim down' what I carry to the basics needed for each visit/job... it all fits... so the thing weighs a tonne! That'll teach me for having so many accessories... but they are all needed at some point... but now I have an excellent reason to be lazy and not unpack it when I get back to the office... "Nah, it's all in one place, out of the way and easy to store... so why bother?"
At least my physiotherapist is happy with me again... -sigh-

OtterBox Laptop cases protect your PC like no other case available. Rugged case design that is so strong you can stand on the case without doing any damage. Bet you can't do that with those soft cases! And of course, it wouldn't be an OtterBox case without being waterproof.
The case allows you to plug the computer in without even taking ... more...
