Having a 7 year old child with a reading age of 10-12, who finds reading an annoying and frustrating chore, in a family where both parents LOVE reading, had me VERY eager to give this book a go. I found it filled to the brim with great tips and suggestions, with each section containing ideas for different age groups. Whether you have a baby, or teenagers, or in-betweens, this is a book that could be handy in any parent's book collection. With everything from reading games that can be played in the car during a long drive or while standing in line waiting to order takeaways etc, to ideas on how to set up reading-nooks so that your child will want to read, to helpful links scattered throughout, to tips on how to improve your reading-out-loud skills, to the "One family, One book" idea- it's all here in this great book!!
I've tried several different ideas already, and am finding my son slowly starting to take more of an interest in reading for fun. So no matter how old your children are, or whether they love or hate reading, this would be a wise addition to all Parents' book collections!!
