Having been a user of Firefox since the earlier days of version1 I was excited when they released version 2 of this amazing browser. Some of the new features implemented are very handy.
Once of these is the Browser restore function - great if your busy looking at a very interesting website and then your PC restarts for whatever reason (software install, liveupdate etc), with any other browser you'd have to open up your history and try and find that site you were just looking at, with Firefox 2, all you need to do is open up your browser again and your prompted with a box asking if you want to restore your previous session (which includes all instances of Firefox that were open as well as all the open tabs in each instance) or start a new session.
Another function is the Enhanced search capabilities which will start to offer you suggestions on your search terms when you are using the inbuilt search box. An example of this is if you start typing doctor who the moment you put a space after the word who you are given a list of other popular searches that have been used for that engine.
The Tabbed browsing has also been improved where now the default action for clicking on a link that would normally open in a new window in a conventional browser will now open in a new tab instead, thus saving on having multiple instances of Firefox open. As well the open in a tab feature the user interface has also been tidied up and now each tab has it's own close icon rather than the one main icon that was located on the far right in the previous version.
Another great implementation is the inline spell checking (although you have to remember to install the New Zealand dictionary otherwise it defaults to the US spelling) this feature is great, especially for when i'm entering reviews here on KIWIreviews.co.nz
