Product reviews...
Basically, if it's not a kebab I am not usually a fan of pita-wrapped foodstuffs, and after trying much in the way of yummy Indian food at a local foodcourt and also at a local Indian restaurant, as well as another of the Dakshin Curry range I was expecting great things... alas, it wasn't quite as great as I hoped, but was a lot better than I feared.
After cooking it in accordance with the instructions, I found the lamb was tender and still had that distinctive flavour, but the korma flavour was too mild. I know that Kiwi's are notorious for having a preference for bland tastes, but these days that is changing. It would be nice to see the flavours changing to reflect that fact. By Indian standards, this wouldn't even rate on the heat scale. Me, well, I like food that tries to bite back a little.
After microwaving, I noticed that the sections of pita bread that had been folded over to seal the ends were quite tough and chewy, unpleasantly so... but since they contained no fillings, it wasn't too big a deal to just chop them off and throw them away. No great loss at all.
Overall, though not the best Korma I have had, for a nuke-box wrap, it was pretty good... there are certainly far worse out there.
