Cobra Paw grabbed the eyes of my ten year old and at $24 I was happy to grab a copy and give it a try. There are cobra tiles, which are similar in design to dominoes. These get laid out so that everyone can see and reach them. The dice and nice and big, this makes it easy to see each picture but can be a bit of a handful for small hands (my petite nine year old has to use both hands as she struggles doing it one handed). The box stores nicely, without the tiles falling here, there and everywhere within the box itself, having a decent insert for them to sit in.

When the dice have been rolled it is a race to find the matching pattern on a tile. Grabbing it can be a little tricky for some, such as my nine year old, as you have grab the tile with the tips of your fingers, but this is a very easy rule to forgo if necessary, without affecting game play. This game also welcomes you to steal tiles from your opponents, due to this, even if it is already in your possession you still need to pick it up or it is fair game. My youngest does find this game a little challenging, and if you're not quick to recognize patterns and shapes your chances of winning aren't as good, but my three all enjoyed it and whilst it doesn't come out that often, we're not allowed to pass it on just yet.

Product reviews for listing 8797: Draftosaurus
Developed by Ankama

Product image for DraftosaurusYour goal in Draftosaurus is to have the dino park most likely to attract visitors. To do so, you have to draft dino meeples and place them in pens that have some placement restrictions. Each turn, one of the players roll a die and this adds a constraint to which pens any other player can add their dinosaur.

Draftosaurus is a quick and light drafting game in which you don't have a hand of cards that you pass around (after selecting one), but a bunch of dino meeples in the palm of your hand.
