Being a parent of 3 young children means we constantly have cartoons on the tv, finding one that both myself and the children enjoy is sometimes a mission. However Paw Patrol is always a winner, and I don't mind when the children end up watching it numerous times a day. We currently have most of the Paw Patrol DVDs that have been released, so when I saw that there was another one due to be released I quickly put my request in, and eagerly awaited to see if we were lucky enough.

When we received our copy in the mail we noticed on the cover that the pups were all driving race cars (Skye was in a plane) and the Paw Patrol Lookout Tower was in the background. On the back cover of the DVD case we see that the running time is approximately 42 minutes, just the right time for my children's attention span.
The race is called the Adventure Bay 500 and features a new character called the Cheetah, which excited my daughter as she says there are too many boys in the show. We popped the disc into the player and got ready for the exciting adventure to begin.

As soon as the show starts you are captivated by the vibrant colours of the pups and their scenery, the show is fast paced and there was never a dull moment. When The Woosh couldn't race my children thought that was the end, but they were thrilled to see that Marshall was going to take over, The Cheetah and her antics bought up the topic of cheating and the kids kept hoping because she was naughty that she wouldn't be the winner. The race had some moments were the children were on the edge of their seats, and it was fun to see they were right in there interacting by yelling at Marshall what he should do. In the end there was a good result, and of course once the show finished it was then played again.

Overall we loved Paw Patrol: Ready, Race, Rescue and will happily continue to watch the DVD, I enjoyed how the pups messages about kindness, teamwork, and honesty were subtly conveyed. We cannot wait to see what the next adventure/mission the Paw Patrol will embark on next.
