Fandooble is a wildly fun and fast party game. Race against your opponents to steal all of the gold from the fearsome dragon. Wizards and knights will help you along the way, but you never know when they'll show up.
Keep an eye on that rascally scoundrel Fandooble though; he'll steal your hard stolen gold and give it to someone else before you can say, "Don't steal my gold, rascally scoundrel Fandooble."
Watch out, though - roll three dragons and you lose the gold you just stole; roll three red fire-breathing dragons, and you are really out of luck!

A couple of years ago I was in a Whitcoulls, looking at games, when Fandooble caught my eye. I was on the hunt for a game that would be fun for the whole family, would be entertaining for my older two kids but easy enough that my youngest child (who is a couple of years behind, developmentally) could learn and join in. Whilst this says it is aimed at 8+ (which my older two were at the time), it still looked like it could be a simple enough game for her to learn and hopefully enjoy and want to play time and again. In the end, I can say that I am quite happy with the purchase that I made.
With Fandooble, you have four dice to roll, one which has a wizard, knight and fandooble on its sides, the other three have a mix of red dragons, green dragons and treasure chest. You roll all four dice, any dragons get moved to the side, end up with three dragons, turn over, three red dragons and you loose all your gold so far. A knight or a wizard on the same roll means you don't get rid of one dragon. Treasure, self explanatory, take one from the dragons hoard and pop it in the middle, Fandooble means steal one from another player and add it to the middle pile. Choose when to stop, unless you now have three dragons, and try to end the game with the most gold.
Once you know the rules, this is a really easy game to play, but still fun enough that the kids haven't grown bored of it. Whilst the age it's aimed at is 8+, I would happily lower that to 6, easy. The dice are wooden and a nice big size, and they've stood the test of time really well, still looking new today. The coins come with a lovely little pouch, perfect if the box fell apart, yet ours is still going strong.
