Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them product reviews

Fantastic Beasts and where to find them is a 2016 fantasy film directed by David Yates. A spin off of the Harry Potter films and written by J.K Rowling. This is Rowlings screenwriting debut and is inspired by the book with the same name.

The year is 1926, and Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident, were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt's fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.

Great movie! I have watched this many times over - originally at the movies when it first came out I have since watched it online often. I like how relates to Harry Potter if you know the books well like I do, but it can also be a completely stand-alone movie also. The two do not rely on each other to make sense.

If you have read the book "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", you might be surprised how this was turned into a film. This was done by using the creature you have read about and mixing it into an old America muggle world. The graphics of this film are fantastic! Each animal is created so realistically despite not being real (obviously). Viewers who enjoy fantasy, magical and sci-fi films will be impressed with the graphics of this film.

The storyline is interesting whilst having touches of humour. Set in the US years ago, the structures and fashion are more clothed and classic. The director has done well to replicate this era and not blend or give into modern-day dressing for the views. The storyline is one which I think very few viewers will have seen before. Unknown creatures will be showcased and developed the world of Harry Potter. This film gives hints into the magical world for those who are interested in this but can also happily be viewed by those who just want to watch an interesting, magical film. Whether or not you are a fan of Harry Potter, I would recommend you view this film.

I grew up devouring the Harry Potter books and as they followed, I grew up with the cast of the films (seriously, there's only a year or two between us). When I heard rumors of this film, I knew I had to watch it and the trailers for them only solidified that resolve. I took my three kids with me (who were roughly 5, 7 & 9 at the time) and we settled down for what we hoped would be a fantastical ride. Within the Harry Potter world, this book that Newt writes (same title of the film) is mentioned, so I looked forward to what creatures this might introduce us to and I'm big into mythical creatures and seeing them brought to life.

Newt has come to America to find more creatures and unwittingly walks into a mystery, he then meets a Muggle/Nomaj who he befriends and two witches who begin to aid him as they uncover what is really happening. I LOVED the creatures, the Occamy in particular as it changes sizes and was just stunning (it was my main reason behind ordering my mother to go and see it on the big screen), but all the creatures were done so well and I was pleased that not all of them are 'pretty' because why wouldn't magical nature be just like ours? The time was well spent on the special effects, it all melded well together and there was only one moment which stuck out to me, as not looking 100% 'right' and that was the singing goblin.

The plot flowed well, giving plenty of chances to see how each of the character is within the life they're leading and it was nice to see the relationships grow between them, especially as they come to realize that a friendship with a Nomaj isn't such a big thing to be scared of. This is one of those films that we have pulled off the shelf and watched so many times, and we still enjoy it just as much each time we view it. This will be one of those films that I will still be watching into my old age and is a great addition to a Harry Potter marathon.

I am not a big movie watcher but now and again a movie pops up that catches my attention. Fantastic Beasts and where to find them is one such movie. Having enjoyed all of the Harry Potter movies I automatically assumed that this was going to be right up there with those. Afterall JK Rowling is pretty amazing in herself and hasn't let me down with any of her work yet :) This movie is J.K Rowlings screenwriting debut and is from her book with the same name.

I love the cover picture for this DVD. It gives you a basic understanding of the movie content/storyline in a simple picture. I guess that relatively easy to do with a movie about magic and a picture with a wizards wand in it lol. Like most movies there will always be flaws or moments that make you cringe a little but Fantastic Beasts provides quite an impressive amount of effects and from the music to the performances and the battle scenes I think most will be suitably impressed. The cga are pretty amazing in my opinion. But in saying that when it comes to computer generated animations if not poorly done I'm easily impressed lol

Harry Potter fans and fantasy lovers should be happy with this movie but for real movie buffs the story line may run a bit thin but it's jam packed full of special effects ;) and if you pay full attention it is quite a varied storyline with a lot of different plots going on. But it is still aesthetically pleasing enough. Teenagers and those who love a bit of magic will not be dissapointed though.

Personally I really enjoyed it :) twould thumbs up from me and my family.
