Led by Special Agent in Charge Dwayne Cassius Pride, a former sheriff's deputy and member of the fed-five, the New Orleans NCIS office handles cases from the Mississippi River to the Texas Panhandle. Living and working out of his office, Pride heads a small team consisting of Special Agent Christopher LaSalle and his partner Special Agent Meredith Brody.
LaSalle, who was recruited by Pride from the sheriff's office, is a ladies man who lives and breathes law enforcement; Brody, a recent transfer from the Great Lakes field office, has worked as a Special Agent afloat and is keen to leave her past behind as she moves to the Crescent City.
The team are assisted by Dr. Loretta Wade and Sebastian Lund, forensic investigators assigned to the Jefferson Parish Medical Examiners Office, Patton Plame, an NCIS computer specialist and freelance agent.

I watched a few seasons of the first series of NCIS and enjoyed it but never watched the second series but when I heard there was an NCIS New Orleans soon to air and it starred Scott Bakula I was most excited to give it a try (I loved him in Quantum Leap). This follows the generic code of the previous series of an elite team acting as police with naval related crimes and murders with a team that is much like a family. The theme song is one of the few ones that I will happily sit through and listen to the whole intro.
There were moments when I watched an episode and I didn't really feel enthused about watching the next episode, so would leave it for a week or two before watching two in a row. I enjoyed at least half of the episodes but there were some moments where it just didn't feel right or natural such as near the ending when there is a tragic moment, the character intimitly involved didn't really act quite how I would have expected, yes I know everyone reacts differently but it still didn't quite sit right.
However, all being said, I will watch the next season when it comes out on TV.
