This was labelled as a spanish thriller, but I wouldn't quite go that far. It certainly fits into the "Crime" and "Suspense" genres but isn't quite at a fast enough pace that I would call it a thriller. There certainly are events that may be considered action, but they are sporadic and rather dispersed along the timeline. The trailer itself makes the film appear a lot faster, when in reality it doesn't gain any pace until the toe end of the film.

I had the misfortune of sitting behind a tall person in the theatre; this would normally not be an issue, but the fact that this is a Spanish film with English subtitles, meant that I really needed to be able to read the text at the bottom of the screen to be able to fully understand the film.

Ignoring the pace and subtitles, the film was beautiful. The environment was very exquisite, and the film began as is I was about to watch a 'David Attenborough' documentary. Lots of aerial shots of landscapes, combined with footage of the native flora and fauna.

The story-line was simple and easy to follow, with little mysteries and unconnected events that slowly start to create a web of lies and deceit that gets unraveled by the protagonists. There is a lot of baggage between the two protagonists, which in my eyes added rather little to the film, unless it was lining up the characters for a follow-up film. But let's be honest; despite the pacing and subtitles, I would totally watch a sequel.

Product image for X-Men: Days of Future PastConvinced that mutants pose a threat to humanity, Dr. Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage) develops the Sentinels, enormous robotic weapons that can detect a mutant gene and zero in on that person. In the 21st century, the Sentinels have evolved into highly efficient killing machines. With mutants now facing extinction, Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) volunteers to go back in time and rally the X-Men of the past to help change a pivotal moment in history and thereby save their future.
