We always enjoy the Thea Stilton books especially when the Thea sisters are off on an adventure but its been a while since we read one. I was pretty excited to see the Mouseford Academy Mouselets in Danger was about some backcountry outdoor adventure. This book like all Stilton books is jam packed with fantastic colour illustrations and lots of colour crazy font words.

What I love most about these books is that they are great examples to young girls of all the amazing things that women can do and opens up their eyes to all the amazing places in the world. In this book The Thea Sisters at Mouseford Academy go on a outdoor survival skills course and then have a chance to practise their skills. There's always some hijinks going on in adventures with the Thea Sisters and this book is no different. I love that the good values are practiced in this book also so underlying all the exciting survival skills my girls learn some good virtues. There is a lot of humour (very mousey of course) in this books and we have had some good chuckles over the expressions the sisters use.

I can definitely recommend this book. Its like all the other Thea Sister books and just brilliant. My Miss Eight really enjoyed reading this and rather cutely has even been rereading it to her sister (aged seven) who is just loving it. A fantastic book to buy as a gift for your Thea Stilton Fan.

In this edition of the big Geronimo Stilton series we are with the five Thea sisters at Mouseford Academy as Bruce Hyena arrives on Whale Island to teach a course in outdoor survival. We end up with several of the mouses who spend the day and night out in the forest trying to put everything that they have learnt into action, can they survive the night? The kids loved hearing what they were all getting up to and wanted to know exactly how the mice were going to last the night and how many would give up and call for help.

The illustrations are, as always, of a great standard and lots of fun, the kids had great fun just looking at th pictures as none of them can read it on their own yet, so I like that the pictures are descriptive enough as to not need to be read. I really liked that the photos that were being taken were shown at each point so we could see exactly what the mice were getting up to and the kids loved being able to see what they were talking about.

My son LOVES this book, more than the dinosaur one we got, as he liked hearing what the mice were getting up to and how they were following the lessons they were taught.

a one of a kind.
Most roared from their front,
HIS roar came from his BEHIND!

You'll split your pants laughing at Stan, the world's only STINK-O-SAURUS. But can his stinky antics save the day and keep Tommy T-Rex far away?

Included is a CD featuring a hilarious song with an easy melody and a catchy refrain.
