Product reviews...
Jerky is something that I haven't had often so I didn't really have much to compare Jack Link's Sweet & Hot Beef Jerky with. I did like the idea of having access to a high protein snack that I might be able to have in my handbag for the occasion when I needed something o keep me going in between meals.
My initial reaction was that it was rather rubbery. There was a definite taste of heat in my mouth as I ate it. As I made my way through the pack, I did find that there was varying amounts of flavour and tenderness with each piece I tried. One piece wasn't at all rubbery and the next piece was very rubbery.
Even though I did find it quite rubbery, I found myself enjoying the pack and even eating the contents as if they were lollies! The best thing is that I didn't feel the same guilt. Each bit takes a bit of work and therefore I would be less likely to eat it quite as quickly as lollies or chips.
I think that my children could enjoy something like this for part of their snacks in their lunch boxes. I would need to consider different flavours as this one would be way too hot. It is something that I really should consider for my handbag as it would be so much better for me that the other snack options I usually go for.
