Product reviews...
I received this awesome and fun activity book to review with my daughter. We love reviewing items that allow us to spend time together one on one and she now gets so very excited when a parcel from KIWIreviews arrives on our doorstep.
The Tiddler Activity Book is jam packed with fun activities to make, do, and draw and we spent an entire afternoon doing some of the activities in the book and writing lists of what we needed to find or buy to be able to make some of the fun items in the book. I really liked that she (miss 7) was able to read and understand the clear and simple instructions for things. Even though we would be working together ot was good to know she would also be able to complete things alone because even the items to make were fun and easy to do. Younger children would need more help though.
we had a lot of fun making a jelly-fish and even baking. I was glad that everything we did do was a success making for a very happy child with no melt-downs because things did not work. The RRP is around $17 which I think is a very good price for the amount of activities and things to do within the pages. The materials requieed to make any if the projects are also not expensive items. Just simple items like paper plates, cello-tape, glue etc.
This is a very awesome book. Lots to read, do, and make. Simple, and easy to follow instructions at a price that will not break the bank. It would also be a very well received gift especially for a child (boy or girl) in the 3-10 year age gap.
I got to review this delightful book with my six year old son, and we both enjoyed it.
There's a good mixture of activities in this book, there's dot to dot pages, which my son loves, follow the line to work out which one will take you home, a couple of puzzles which there are stickers for the missing pieces, a couple of word searches, some pages for colouring and drawing, stickers and some cutting out. There's also a few neat ideas in there, like a paper mache fish, and how to make some jellyfish, something that we had great fun making.
This book is simple enough that my son was able to do activities in it without having to put too much effort in it, but still had to think on what to do. The stickers are a big bonus, as in this book they can be reused, so if you put a puzzle piece in the wrong place... no worries as you can just peel it off and pop it in the right place, and there's no ripping of paper going on. There's a wonderful fold out page right at the end too, with plenty of stickers with which to create your own underwater scene.
This is lots of fun, and whilst I would prefer it to cost less, it does do a good job.
