Founder Peter Yealands' vision is to create the world's most environmentally-friendly wines. Constantly seeking new ways to work, he combines his love of the land with wines as bold as his ambition. These very approachable wines prove that sustainability always rewards with lasting quality.
The Peter Yealands Chardonnay exhibits stone fruit, melon, and pineapple flavours with a subtle nutty character. The palate is savoury and full, finishing with a crisp, refreshing finish. The ideal partner for Roast Chicken with all the trimmings.

Normally I stick to only buying my favourite wine but on occasion it's nice to try something different. I'm a Chardonnay kind of girl, so I asked my partner to grab a bottle at the supermarket and surprise me.
This was the first time that I've tried any of the Peter Yealands wines. I found this particular wine to be on the medium - dry side where as I generally prefer a sweeter wine.
The Peter Yealands Chardonnay is a crisp, full flavoured wine with a pleasant fruity after taste that was deliciously smooth on the palate with a hint of sharpness when it hits the back of the throat. I usually enjoy a glass of wine before a meal as well as with it and I thought that this wine was better suited with food.
I love the fact that the Yealands Estate is carboNZero certified and environmentally friendly. I greatly admire their goal of becoming the most sustainable winery in the world and love that they use a lot of recycled products for their packaging.
The wine was reasonably priced but I don't think I would buy the Chardonnay again. However I would be interested in trying some of the other Peter Yealands wines.
