My 5 year old got this for Christmas and we thought it was very cool, its like I had as a kid only my one was just a tree not a fairy one. It comes in a nice box which shows what is inside and what it all can be. The box very clearly gives some ages and what those ages might need like, 4-6 years I may need some help, 7-10 I can do it.
With my daughter being 5 I gave her some help with it all, she put the fairies together and the trees with help and indication on how to do it, then we stuck the tray on a flat surface like the instructions say. The instructions are very clear it comes with a diagram in the box with instructions and on the back of the box is another set of instructions.
Once everything was together it was time to put the solution into the green tray where the trees and grass were going to sit, one solution per spot so 4 of them all up. Sadly one of the solutions didn't have enough in it and it didn't fill up one of the tree spots which has resulted into that tree not producing as many crystals as the others. You start seeing the first crystals about 2 hours into it and by 10 hours you should have it in full crystals. This is my daughters set after 8 hours.
It is a great little gift for a little girl that loves fairies etc, the only problem I have found it keeping her from touching it so the crystals don't break off. But would be better if everything is in there with maybe a bit extra in case something like the solution isn't enough
