I have been wanting this game for ages, ever since I was a kid I remember playing this game with my friends at their house, I never owned it myself and really wanted it as well. As I had children I still wanted this game but because it is 6+ I didn't get it and just held off. Well it came to the point I had enough fly buys points to get this awesome game for the kids Christmas present for 2013.

Since they opened it at Christmas they really wanted to play, but because of the busyness of the game we had to wait and played it on boxing I believe 3 times, yes my 4 and 5 year old wanted to play this game so many times and almost every day since. Its such a good family game and we enjoy it. What I really like about this game is its teaching my 4 year old how to count spaces correctly instead of counting the one he is standing on as 1 he is now counting the space afterwards as 1.

This game teaches children to read building plans, as you need it to build the mousetrap. Each time you land on a building square (this will depend on how many people are playing on how many building squares there are for your round of game) you get to put a piece on the board but in order starting from 1 reading the building plans shows you the colour and what the item looks like.

If its built correctly and you get to turn the handle you will be lucky to trap someone or it might not work right as someone didn't put a piece on right by accident (mainly a childs piece) you carry on playing as thats your turn over just quickly flick though and make sure all is right again putting pieces back in place. My kids have learnt turn waiting and have go the reading the plan down to a T that they almost don't need it now.

As much as we love this game the little cheese pieces are hard to keep together would be good if they actually came in a resealable bag so the pieces don't go missing, this is easy enough to be sorted but would of been annoying if I didn't have any bags at home. Otherwise this is a great game but because of my budget I was happy I got it though my fly buys points as $50 for me is a lot of money.
