Made to a classic spicy recipe, this Guacamole has plenty of taste and plenty of avocado - 2 of them in fact!
Great as a dip, fantastic with nachos, made from fresh avocado (94%), fresh coriander, fresh onion, other herbs and spices, and of course Jalapeno Peppers. Perfect with your TexMex.

Product reviews...
My all-time favourite from the four variants we got to try, this had a full spice flavour that made it utterly perfect as-is, no adjustments or additions needed to suit me. Unfortunately though, because of it's spicy nature, I was the only one in the house who enjoyed it. The joys of the stereotypical 'kiwi' palate the rest of my family live with.
I had this on top of some mild nachos and it added a really nice 'zing' to the meal, giving some extra spicy heat to the dish without drowning out the flavour of the mince, tomato and bean salsa I had generously heaped in amongst the chips and cheese.
So, if this was my favourite, why isn't it scoring better? To be honest, that's because it carries so much flavour on its own, there isn't a heck of a lot of wiggle-room when it comes to how it can be used. It's a topping or a dip, and that's about all it really can be without somehow masking or morphing the flavour away from this ideal pitch. If you add it to sour cream to soften the heat, you also lose the subtle flavours that sneak around the edges of the spice. For me, this is almost as big a crime as adding any extra flavour to it as well. It's so perfectly balanced where it is, you only risk ruining it if you mess with it at all.
Overall, this is stunning, simply stunning... so don't go messing around with it, or you'll only end up getting less than its best.
Out of all the guacamole products I've tried, I think that this one is the best. I really enjoyed the spice factor as well, it really gave me quite a good kick. I loved the overall taste, it tasted natural, and it had a good avocado flavour, plus there was the good texture that went with it, a smooth, yet slightly chunky texture that really felt good on the inside of my mouth. the spice was at a good level, it wasn't to high, yet is wasn't low enough to be just like the mild guacamole I reviewed.
This stuff goes well with nacho chips, but it goes even better with bread, I guess the bread just seems to be softer and more enjoyable, it also soaks up the flavour, while the chips are hard and non-absorbent. I can think of a few cool things that can be done with this, it could be used as a dip, a spread, hell, it might even go good in sushi! It is this versatility that is the highlight of guacamole, as one packet on the shelf can be used for a multitude of things, making things a bit more cost-effective.
I have no idea whatsoever what the price of this product is, so I can't say for sure whether or not it matches the product's value, but, since I can't submit this review without plugging something into the attributes ratings, I'll put it as 10/10, but if you're reading this, just know that I really have no idea what the true score is. To put things together into a small, easy-to-digest package: I think that this is a great product with an awesome taste, great spice level, and I would recommend it for any kitchen or household.
When they say spicy with this spread, they really do mean it. I wouldn't class myself as a wimp when it comes to chili and spice. I enjoy a good curry as much as the next person. But it would be fair to say that this was too hot for me. I guess it really depends on the style of heat as well and how you serve it.
When I tried this spicy guacamole, I spread 50 grams on a piece of toast, and added a slice of edam cheese. It was really just my way of trying it out, before giving my kids some. I didn't end up giving any to the kids, because it took my breathe away.
I don't know if I just had too much on my toast. Maybe if I had less per serve, it might be different. But basically my tongue was burning hot, my eyes were watering and I actually broke a sweat. My husband thought it was hilarious. I do have friends who will love this though, so I'm planning on sharing it with them later this week. I love that I haven't wasted the whole packet though, with the split bag.
I made two wraps with this flavour adding to my mince, fresh tomato red onion and lettuce. This flavour was really nice with a slow warmth that never really peaked but maintained its bite. If you have not eaten anything spicy in a while you will probably cough a bit at first, but after that the smooth warmth will make your meal really delicious.
The individual pouches are not labelled so if you opened more than one and had them both in the fridge you would be hard pressed to differentiate them. There was plenty to make the wraps with as each packet contains two pouches 100g each. The green Guac Spicy Flavour was smooth, fresh and very moreish. It is a very well priced product and fits well in the fridge in its clever packaging that is easy to open by just folding the cardboard recesses. I would recommend this flavour to everyone. Very nice!
Fressure Foods Spicy Guacamole couldn't be more different from their mild one. I don't like really spicy foods so was a bit reluctant to try this but I really love it. It certainly has a bit of a kick to it but nothing that made me grab for the closest drink to extinguish the flame. I think those that like their food really strong might be disappointed but for me this was ideal.
I love the taste combination of avocado and chicken so when searching through the fridge for some lunch I found some chicken leftover from the night before I knew I had to made an sandwich with it and the spicy gucamole and tomato. When I posted a photo of it on the KIWIreviews Facebook page someone commented that I should add some black pepper and basil leaves. I am pleased I didn't add any more flavours to the sandwich as the blend of flavours and textures I had were perfect. I found one pouch did two sandwiches when thickly spread but I could have easily made it do three sandwiches.
I really like the way Fressure Foods package their products. They were perfect standing on their end in the fridge door along with all my other sauces. There are two pouches in a packet which are very easy to open (unlike other products that claim to be but you still need to use scissors). This means that you can keep half of the product fresh for another day. I would have liked the pouches to be perforated so they were easy to seperate. It states on the pack to use within 6 hours of opening to prevent browning. I tested this be leaving an empty but unrinsed pouch on the bench. I found that it did start to change colour about the 6 hour mark and by 8 hours was revolting looking. The pouches obviously do a great job of keeping it fresh.
This was my favourite of the Frssure Foods products but I was the only one in the house that liked it so it will be Mummy's treat.
