Barker's Sundried Tomato and Olive chutney is so full of flavour; the perfect addition to casseroles, stir fries or dolloped on the side of your dinner plate.
• Spread on bruschetta or crostini and top with crumbled feta for an easy starter
• Add a couple of generous dollops to casseroles and stews to help develop the flavour
• Mix with yoghurt or sour cream for a tasty and instant dip
• Spread over a pizza base and add your favourite toppings
• Add to cheese scrolls to give some real flavour
• Serve as an accompaniment for cheese, crackers, sandwiches and antipasto platters
• Serve alongside cold meats, frittatas, pies or left overs
Product reviews...
I found out about Barkers from KIWIreviews after reading some fellow reviewers reviews I knew I had to try the products in the range. The first one I bought was the Peach and Mango Chutney and I absolutely loved it so wanted to try more. I bought this one as I love both sundried tomato and olives and know that together they are incredible.
I have just been eating the chutney on crackers with cheese for my lunch as I am trying to diet and need things to make my crispbreads seem more tasty and interesting. I love it used this way as I love the bitter sweetness of sundried tomato and the sharpness of the olive. It really is an incredible taste and Barkers have done a great job of combining the two into a really tasty chutney, yum!!
I was making home made pizzas and decided to spread this on the pita bread bases instead of tomato paste and I am glad I did as it tasted amazing. Even my partner who doesn't like olives at all liked these pizzas as the olive taste wasn't overpowering for him. We just topped the pizza's with some chicken, spinach, cherry tomatoes, and mozzarella and with the chutney they seemed very gourmet yet so simple to prepare, so we will definitely be making them again with this great chutney.
I am going to use some of the suggestions given above with this chutney as I think it would definitely be great in a casserole or mince dish, and the thought of spreading it on a crostini sounds amazing. I think this would have heaps of uses as it is such a great flavour!
